Learning :)

http://bit.ly/nsLMH7
What is learning? Well learning is exactly what I did today. I learned how I could have the power to impact the web with my thoughts. Through the practice blog activity found on previous blogs, I have expanded my horizons.
Learning can be challenging and frustrating at times. I found that today to be extremely true. However I was able to work my way through the new resources available to me and I developed a tool that I am know eager and excited to begin using.

Please share with myself and others your thoughts on what learning is. As a teacher we are responsible for developing a child's ability to read and write and all sorts of exciting things. The process begins with learning and so I open up the field for all educators to share their thoughts on what it means to learn.

Today I learned multiple skills, these skills will come in handy in the future for developing new blogs, adding photos and searching for resources. Therefore in my opinion; learning is when you can take something from the lesson. Learning only happens when you are given something, when you achieve a higher level of understanding. When is the last time you learned something, something that opened your eyes to new opportunities and provided you with a higher level of learning?

  1. Wow! Viktoria, I just love your professional blog. I am so incredibly inspired by this. With the amount of work you have and yet you have made the leap to "journal your journey". Kudos to you.

It is my opinion that in the next few years, research will begin to tell us that learning and knowledge are very different in today's society. The information age has changed how we view and access knowledge on many fronts.

I just love how you referenced our class today - What incredible feedback - It means so much. Thank you.

  2. Did you read my mind? I just asked my grade 7-8 students "what is learning?" / "what is 'true' learning?" / "how do we know that learning has happened?" as part of my library lessons. I plan on sharing their responses via Twitter. See what my students have to say in the next few days via @MzMollyTL (and I promise it's not just a plug for my Twitter account!)
